The Problem
After doing immersive + observational research with FedEx drivers, we found they sorted the parcels 3 times upon delivery and a huge headache in delivering the parcels the last 100 ft. Their knees would give out after 10-15 yrs of up and down from the truck.
I also led research in perishable food delivery after finding out broader applications for our solution.
This was followed by rough to high fidelity prototype creation and validation up which we learned we the access panel orientation, number of panels and device IoT solutions were added and modified. process images are GM ‘Secret’… Not available.

BrightDrop Ecosystem
These are my icons and I worked with the branding team to graphic publish the communication of the ecosystem. I led the vision of this ecosystem internal to GM working with engineering and the strategic business unit from inception.

'City Rover'
I designed the City Rover, a flatbed unit designed to haul 4 smart containers, pallets, loose parcels / items. The military and a variety of large companies saw multiple applications for this and desired functional prototypes of this. Still internal development.

Smart Pallet / Container
I designed this smart pallet being inspired by and empathizing the pain of multiple sort issues. The smart container help identify which parcels need to go to which location by machine vision and sensors. Soft / flexible covers were explored.

Rapid EV600 Loading
I explored multiple ways of getting the containers off and onto the truck. Shown here is one solution that is robust and light enough to campion value to delivery personnel.

App Experience
Speed and knowing the next delivery point + what to deliver is everything. I worked with mobile team to develop an appropriate mobile solution.
